I will tell you that you will need to only select your year and make truck to update since the 2GB card is too small to update all trucks. Then insert the card in the tuner and select to update firmware before loading the truck.
• It's been a long time. That's why I didn't want to overwrite the SD card I'm using now. I'll have to get a 2GB card. I bought a 16 gig - appreciate the heads up on that. I'd have been fighting that right off the bat.
• After you update the 2GB with just your truck then put it in the tuner and do a firmware update, you can then use either a 4GB or 8GB and go back and load all trucks. That way you will have the latest on all trucks should you ever want to sell the tuner you can sell it to someone with a different truck should you need to.
• Makes sense. I'm taking the truck on a short trip next week so I'll probably not do anything until I get back. Pulling a loaded 30' trailer and don't want any surprises. I may need to ask more questions when I get back and ready to do the update.

  I'm curious, why does it have to be a 2GB card? I have a 4GB card I got from Rudys with all the current updates on it and I get the missing sd card message when I try to update firmware. My mini Maxx came in my truck and was missing the sd card FYI
• The tuners required a 2GB card to work until the latest firmware. Since a 4GB does not work in yours then you probably don't have the latest firmware. If someone does not have the latest and goes to try and use a 4GB or an 8GB then it will get the message.
  Try getting a 2GB, use the updater on this site and ONLY select your truck to update. The 2Gb is too small for all trucks to fit. Then insert it and update the firmware. Once that is done a 4GB will work.
• Oh and if the 2GB still gives you the message, you can try to blow a shot of canned air in the slot where the SD card slides into the tuner. If it's really dirty, you can get some of this: http://wd40specialist.com/products/contact-cleaner/ and spray it in the slot and on the SD card contacts. Try it again.
• The 2gb card worked! I now have the latest update installed and will tackle my egr delete and wastegate install next weekend! Thanks for the help, I was getting pretty frustrated!
• I got an 08 f250 I went to put my mini max on. It came back said incompatible version. Current 1023 upgrade version 1019. Do I need to buy another SD card preloaded or can I just upgrade. Thanks in advance for all help

  Just download the updater here: https://dieseltunerpros.com/discussion/3/download-the-h-s-updater-here#latest. If you have a 2GB SD card, only select your make and year truck to update. The 2GB is too small to update all trucks. Once the updater is done, put the SD card back in the tuner and go to menu and scroll down to firmware update. Do that then load the truck.

I had it on a 08 F250 then put on a 08 dodge took off the dodge to put back on the Ford but it wont let me switch vehicles. comes back saying incompatible version. I then went menu firmware update but still wont go to the Ford.Thanks again
• When you took it off the Dodge did you return the Dodge back to OEM stock? Look at the show settings screen and next to tune status what does it say? Installed or Not Installed?
• I looked and said not installed. I looked later seem a second page on second page show transmission locked. I thought it got all taken out returning to stock. Is there anyway to clear it. Thanks
• It probably still shows the Dodge as the truck it's on. Do this:
  Unplug the tuner from the OBD port and plug it in slooooowly until it beeps. Stop there. The objective is to get the two longest pins to make contact. Only those pins. These are the ones for power. Then go to menu > change vehicle and select your year and make truck. Save that. Now plug the tuner the rest of the way in and download the truck. Let me know if that worked.
• It didn't work. Could I just make a couple jumpers.
